Temperament and the Love Styles
Thursday March 2, 2023, 5:00-6:30 PM PST
Love styles are an attachment injury as a result of our relationship with our parents or caregivers. Temperament refers to our inborn personality traits, disposition, and talents. Join us as we explore the Myers/Briggs Temperament Profile which adds another layer of understanding about ourselves and those we love. Are you an extrovert or introvert? How do you relate to your external world and how do you regain energy when you are depleted?
Are you intuitive or sensory? Here we look at how you gather information. Are you more of an intuitive person who thinks of the future and sees patterns and possibilities or are you more oriented to live in today and gather information through all your senses?
Are you a thinker or feeler? Making decisions can be influenced more by the heart or the head. Are you a more logical and impersonal when making decisions or more likely to consider people and emotions when making a choice?
Are you judging or perceptive? Are you more structured and like making firm decisions or do you prefer being open ended, spontaneous, and flexible? We will share how this helped our own marriage as we are opposites in all four dimensions of the temperament profile and talk about how to manage the differences in other people when you have opposite preferences.
