Questions from the audience… on Parenting.
Fourth in a four part series.
We had a wonderful time a few weeks ago as we conducted our How We Love as Parents seminar in Laguna Hills, California. The material that Kay and I presented is the subject of the book we are currently writing by the same title.
While our material is about how to parent, its unique emphasis is about how our love styles positively and negatively affect our parenting. If you missed it you can read all about it, hear live testimonies and also be able to purchase the seminar here: Find Out More About The How We Love As Parents Seminar DVD Package .
With too little time and too many unanswered questions, we made a commitment to the audience that our Decemb
In response to one of our newsletters, I received an e-mail that was very sad, yet it is a very appropriate and timely topic to consider this Christmas day.
“There is no such thing as love.
God allows too much sorrow, suffering and pain.”
Sobering statement don’t you think?
I felt saddened at the fact that someone was feeling so dejected and overwhelmed by the true condition of our world.
Candidly, I don’t blame her.
If we take off the rose colored glasses we often wear, we see the reality of sickness, sadness, pain and cruelty.
Is there any hope?
Any anticipation of something different?
Yes there is. It was the message of the angels who appeared in the night sky on the day of Jesus birth who made the following proclamation to a lowly band of the shepherds.
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David,
who is Christ the Lord.”
God’s not at fault for the disastrous condition of the world. Satan is.
References to the person and work of our Enemy… the devil… Lucifer?
“the deceiver of the world.”
“the god of this age”
“the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.”
“the prince of the power of the air”
“a roaring lion who prowls about, searching for someone to devour.”
“the deceiver of the nations.”
For a while, he has power over the earth.
Yet, the good news is that God will ultimately bind him and cast him into the lake of fire as an eternal punishment.
Jesus our Savior on the other hand is the “Savior” who paid for our sin, some 33 years after he was born.
The gift of eternal life is our hope.
Our Savior is referred to in different terms:
“For a Child will be born to us,
A Son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called
Prince of Peace
There will be no end to the increase of His Government or of peace,
On the throne of David and over his kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness,
From then on and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.”
I hope this helps to heal your broken hearts.

Next Week we will have more stimulating questions. I will look forward to being with you.
