How God uses “The Word” of God, to help us in this transformation process.

 In a quick review of our series, there are major influences that imprint our lives:

  • Family of Origin (FOO) #1:  We were created by God in His image and likeness… eternal creatures who would have fellowship with God as do the angels as well as have closeness with a created being on our level… another human being of the opposite sex.
  • Family of Origin #2:  Adam and Eve, who sinned against God which resulted in death and separation from God.
  • Family of Origin #3:  Our biological parents who imprinted us in positive and negative ways.   This imprint deeply affects how we relate to God and others with respect to our ability to regulate emotions, as well as the ability to enter into relationships with mature expectations, hopes and desires.

Many therapists and psychologists who are trained in secular humanistic view points do not understand FOO’s #1 and 2 and many pastors, churches and religious leaders do not fully understand the impact of FOO #3… they mistakenly think that its influences vanish at conversion.

As we approach one of the two most sacred Christian holidays, Christmas, let us not forget the most important truth:

 “… I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people;

for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior,

who is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:10-11).”

Jesus Christ was born to be our savior from the judgments and horrible fate brought on by FOOs #2 and 3.

We have a clean slate, and are rescued from God’s wrath, condemnation and the ability to repair beyond the broken levels of our families.

We hope that this Christmas season, you will embrace the Savior, Jesus Christ and begin a new start with the Lord… and with others.

Thanks for listening, and have a wonderful Christmas celebration.

Love and blessings,

Milan & Kay
